@LittleRiver:  you are sooo good at finding olivia pictures, it’s amazing.

I really love how people are accessorizing the olivia differently and it always looks so good.

I wanted to share a little half abandoned DIY I’ve been trying, based off of the Sara Gabriel piper viel.

I bought ivory tulle and white 1″ horsehair braid from my local fabric store and sewed the two together.  Overall, this cost me around 10 dollars? and was super easy to put together.

Excuse the awful pictures.  I was originally concerned that the white braid would be very obvious against the ivory, but if you put the tulle over it, you really can’t tell.  That being said, there is no picture of me with it on, mainly because I never got around to attaching the hairpiece before I realized, honestly, I just dont like veils, even veils that are perfect for this dress.  I might revisit the veil idea in the future, but I thought I’d attach it to this thread in case it might help someone else.

@LittleRiver:  love the shoot.  you are sooo good at finding this dress.  you have to spill your secrets.  Is she wearing ivory or oatmeal? I am really loving the slightly pinkish tones?  It looks oatmeal in some pictures and ivory in others?  I’m so confused.

These are the shoes that I will be sporting.  They really go well with the ivory dress.  I also decided on this as a headband.  I however found the flowers for a lower price and will attach to a headband but this will be the end look of it.

What color suits for the groom/groomsmen do you feel best compliments the Oatmeal Olivia?

Hi ladies! I just stumbled across a picture of the Olivia dress on pinterest, and IMMEDIATELY fell in love. It’s my dream dress! I have literally been picturing this dress in my head for months but didn’t know it existed til today. So I’m excited I found it and excited that there’s so many other brides out there who love it! You all look gorgeous in it! Question though…does anyone know what it’d look like on a petite girl? I’m barely 5 feet tall and I’ve heard that short ladies shouldn’t wear a dress with too much fabric because it overpowers. I just love this dress so much though that I might not even care, lol, but I do have to worry! Maybe take out a layer or two of tulle? Would that mess up the dress?? Any thoughts/suggestions?

Is it possible for me to go back and edit the post or do I have to just start over?

I kept the jewlery simple and vintage. My necklace is a very delicate white gold chain with ruby & diamond flower, the earrings match, they were my grandmothers, I also wore her wedding ring. I felt that with the headpiece I should keep the jewlery low key.

@Fsubabe23:  You can see the pics I posted of my wedding, I am fairly petite. I am 5ft tall, size 2, I think I pulled of the dress very well, I felt of all the dresses I tried on this was the best one for my body shape and size. I didn’t want to lose the length of the dress so I opted for 6in heels(dangerous on wedding day) and fluffed the tulle inside as much as I could to add volume but even if I had removed some length it still would have fit beautifully.

I am close to pulling the trigger on the Olivia in ivory. I am considering ordering the dress without the flowers on the bodice. Any thoughts?
