i am justt wondering what is the difference, i think it will be best if you ask them for fabric sample so you know what type of fabric are you getting .

@quelee:  I ordered fabric samples in diamond white satin in both grades before ordering my gown, and the feel of the designer fabric vs the premium was that the designer, to my untrained eye and hand, had a much more subtle sheen and had a much softer feel than the premium. It also weighed less. Honestly, I think Jasmine’s should make 2 copies their most popular dress; one in premium materials and craftsmanship and one in designer grade and craftsmanship, so brides are more able to gauge the differences, which honestly, I believe are subtle at best. Jasmine’s Bridal Shop makes gorgeous gowns, premium or designer

Hi Bees!

I was in a similar position, I ordered a Maggie Sottero which was a simpler A-line gown but all lace. They recommended (and I agreed) to go with the designer materials, so the lace will hang much more nicely, but premium craftsmanship. I would assume you would only need the designer craftsmanship if you had a lot of embroidery or beading.

I am really nervous about all of this, but I am so on a budget, and when I tried on the Maggie Sottero, I cried. This is the only way I found I could walk down the aisle in the dress I fell in love with. I will post all pictures when they come! Good luck to all of you!

@aussiemum Thanks so much, that DID make me feel better! They have been really great so far, I will receive my fabric samples in a few days, and they even offered to fashion for me a flower hairpiece that matches the embellishment on the dress. Fingers crossed!

@giru618:  I am happy that I was able to help.  Keep posting because it helps future Bees make the right decision and also helps with the stress levels.  I am looking forward to seeing your dress.

Hi girls!

I’m hoping that jasmine’s will be able to make this Jenny Packham beauty for me. In your opinion, do you think they’ll be able to recreate this fine beadwork? I’m not expecting identical work, but it’d be a real plus to get something really really close!

I’ve not seen anyone on here who has successfully made a Justice of the Peace Willow with Jasmine’s, so I need some feedback from brides who’ve had heavy beadwork done by them. Hope u can help! 🙂

Hi girls!  My name is Bea and I am getting married on October the 5th, 5 monts from now!  I have heard so many good things about Jasmine’s and they sent me pictures of the dress I want from a previous customer that I am eager to order it right away!!!   I am only ordering the dress, a shrug and my veil.
One thing worries me only:  Customs Clearance.  I will ask my dress to arrive to Texas.  I understand Jasmine’s declares that as”Gift cloth” in the package so it doesn’t have issues at Customs in US.  But this still comes from China… how was your Customs Clearance experience?  What should I expect regarding taxes and clearance costs?   Issues?
I really appreciate any experience or advice you can share with me.
     Thanks!!!!!!   Bea.

@BusyBeaBee:  Hi there BusyBeeBee and welcome to Jasmines Bridal Club, that is what we call it.

You are posting on a lot of threads, but what you really need to find is a Bee who ordered a Jasmines dress who lives in the USA to get real customs information.

From what I have read, there seems to be no problems with USA deliveries and I haven’t heard anyone complain about custom duties etc.

Every country has different procedures/rates.  Here in Australia there are no duties if the dress is under AU$1000.

Not sure if this helps.

@sunshiny:  Take a look at the beading on this beauty I’m absolutely confident that Jasmine’s can pull off Jenny P.’s beautiful beadwork! And I’m absolutely starving to see the mid production pics so when you get them – please post them in the Jasmine’s main thread! The ladies there will also be more able to allay any of your fears as there are several satisfied customers watching the threads. They’re a great resource for getting the most out of your Jasmine’s experience.

The one word of advice I’ve got is to upgrade to designer craftmanship and fabric if you can, it makes a world of difference on more intricate designs.

@sunshiny:  Oh yay! That’s one of my favorite dresses and favorite designers, I’m really looking forward to your dress journey! FYI, there’s at least one Jenny P. inspired creations in their FB photo album, it’s not as heavily beaded but it’s nice to see anyway.
