@fishwoman: I am not a Dr and didn’t read all the reply’s, but MS shows up on brain imaging as white spots, although it is hard to diagnose. My friend went through ups and downs of trying to figure our what was going on with her. It is very scary, but I hear that it is something that can be managed and some people don’t have episodes for years and years! I am sorry for your stress, I hope you find a diagnosis and treatment soon!

@fishwoman:  I’m so very sorry for your diagnoses, but why let a disease run your life?  This is NOT a death sentence.  Keep your head up!  There’s no reason why you should not get married!  So you have to postpone your wedding… that sucks, but there’s no reason why you can’t get married in the future.  YOU CAN BEAT THIS and go on to be happy and healthy and wear your beautiful dress at a beautiful wedding!  Prayers and hugs to you!

@fishwoman: This honestly breaks my heart!  I hope this is a postponement and not a cancellation.  With that said, if it was a cancellation because your Fiance was scared about what the future might hold for you health wise – you didn’t want to marry him anyway!

Now on to your health – I really hope you take Lyme Disease by the neck and show it who’s boss!  You are more than capable of take control of this and living the life you are supposed to live.  God only dishes out what he knows you and your spirit can handle.  Always remember that!  So remember to keep your head up and keep walking forward; because that’s what I do every day when I wake up with my incurable disease!

Fishwoman – I know I’m late on this but I wanted to chime in. I was diagnosed conclusively with MS 2 years 1 month and 9 days ago…but who’s counting ;). I had a positive MRI 2-3 older lesions on my brain and one very active one at that time, evoked potentials showed delays on my left side, lumbar puncture had 5 OG Bands. Also at the time of my diagnosis the ENTIRE right side of my body was completely numb, bells palsy (drooping) on the right side of my face, extremely unsteady gait and SEVERE vertigo (I kepy getting motion sickness any time I stood, up, sat up, lied flat or just moved my head an inch). Beyond the pins and needles, your symptoms do not make me think MS. Twitches are generally not associated with MS, I have an intention tremor at the moment but not a twitch.

One thing I can tell you is DO NOT CANCEL YOUR WEDDING! If it is MS it’s no reason to cancel, you can definately be helped. If it isnt I’m sure anything you can experience will not be enough to cancel marrying the man of your dreams and someone who is going through this with you already.

I haven’t been on this site in months…Bad MS relapse for me last fall, switched to a new MS medication with a 1/1000 chance of killing me (not a fun decision)early this year, then all the final wedding plainning stuff coming up. I havent been able to get to the internet. I did get your messag and would love to talk with you more. Even if it turns out not to be MS, I can definately relate to not knowing what is going on with your body and being scared to death. TRUST ME…you can get through ANYTHING and come out better for it.
