Those of you with round brilliant diamond solitaires, could you please post pictures of your engagement rings with your wedding bands? And also why you chose that particular design over others? I’m about to choose a wedding band and can’t make up my mind between different choices.
Also, with my ring in mind, would you go for:
1) plain platinum band
2) plain platinum band set with scattered diamonds
3) diamond channel set
4) diamond eternity
5) something else!

@froydis: I don’t have one but just wanted to say I’d go with 3 or 4.

I’m getting a diamond eternity band with my round solitaire! Adds that extra bling and is just classic. However, my diamonds won’t be all around the ring, just on the top.

I do love the idea of having a band with a few stones in it – they really compliment the round centre diamond of your e-ring. Have you thought of getting a half-set band? It’s cheaper than the eternity option, just the stones don’t go all the way around your finger. 🙂

Thanks ladies – seems like having more diamonds is a good option 😉 I might just have to see how they look against my e-ring. I’m having a hard time visualising them! If any of you have pictures, please share! 🙂

My ring looks just like yours! And the band is a channel set eternity band (similar to #4). I wanted a channel set because I was nervous of it rubbing against my finger, and wanted an eternity band just because I don’t have to worry about the stones not being centered. It’s the same all the way around – (ps – I got it on Overstock) ;o)
The only downside I’ve found to this is, you can’t ever have an eternity band resized – because the diamonds do go all the way around – so that’s something you’ll want to consider, too :o)

Here is a picture of them side by side. Sorry, it’s the only one I had on my phone :o)

I have a scattered diamond wedding ring so obviously I voted for that but I also love the channel set too.
I went for half way round too!

I voted for scattered diamonds because I also have one and love it! However, like someone else mentioned…choices 2, 3, and 4 cannot be sized (well not sure about the channel set, depends on how far around the diamonds are). Bands 1, 2, and 3 can take the most abuse though, especially if you are wanting to wear your band alone for gardening, working out, etc. My scattered band is just like the Etoile band and I’ve really been rough on it…haven’t lost a stone yet. Really, they are all beautiful and will look great with your e ring!

I’m a huge fan of enhancers and ring wraps! Mine hinges on the back to completely wrap around the solitaire. The second one is a one I found recently and fell in love with.

personally, i would get #4 as a half-eternity. i love the way it looks!

I have a similar ring and I am actually getting two bands, one that is 3/4 eternity and one plain band. I wanted to have the option to switch things up. My “official” wedding band that I am going to wear on my wedding day will be the plain band though… while I like the sparkle of the eternity band, I just love the understated elegance of the plain one more.
This is my ring:
I am getting this low set enternity band (except I am having mine made in 18k yellow gold and only having it as a 3/4 eternity) and this knife edge band.

@DeathByDesign: Your ring is huge! Beautiful!
@TamiN: I love that ring wrap that you posted. Where is it from?
@froydis: I have a ring that is very similar to yours the stone is round but my setting has 4 prongs so it almost makes it a square so I’m having a hard time finding a band that I like.

The first one is from Helzberg, and the second one is both at Fred Myers and Helzberg (but like $100 less at Fred Myers)

I’m actually doing something different from all of your options, so I thought I’d pop in and show you another option! I haven’t got my wedding band yet (comes in today though squee!), but I have pictures of my ring and it.
