@Miss Stella: So crazy! We have the same name (that is if your screen-name is your real name lol) and very similar wedding sets!!
Mine is a half-eternity band. I wanted to be able to get it sized if needed (pregnancy, weight loss/gain, etc). And I found the diamonds set in the creases of my fingers bothered me a little. My half eternity diamonds are prong set instead of channel, so that is probably why they rub my fingers more.

I got a prong set ring because I think it looks very classic. my e-ring is vintage. channel set rings looked too modern next to it.
I like how all of the stones on both of my rings are round and prong set. I think it makes them match well together.
ps: it’s 3/4 eternity. it cost less that way and I can get it resized one day if I need to.

here’s mine 🙂 Came with the matching band…but Fiance told me that they were sold out when he bought my ring. The sneak surprised me with it on christmas morning 🙂

@DeathByDesign: I have the very same low profile band that you’re planning to get! mine is white gold. I posted photos above.

This is my ring
And this is the Wedding band I will wear when I get married.

Your setting looks just like mine, except mine is only 4 prongs. 🙂
For me I decided early on that I wanted something with more bling on the band. So I decided to go with a 5 stone tension set 1 carat total weight anniversary band as my wedding band. I don’t have it yet since I am not married, but I tried it on at Kays and it looked so pretty! I wish I had taken a picture though.
I am also really drawn to the channel set wedding bands, but for me I’d go 3/4th eternity rather than the whole thing, because I’d like to be able to size it if I needed to in the future.

Thank you again for all your helpful comments!!! We had the jeweller over yesterday evening and I tried all sorts of rings on but in the end, what stood out the most was the plain band with scattered diamonds. I quite liked how it looks and feels like a “traditional” wedding ring but is a little bit more unusual / special.
Anyway, the ring I chose is a 2mm platinum with 1mm diamonds scattered around equally:
and my fiancé chose a plain court shaped 4mm platinum band:

Congrats on deciding! It’ll be gorgeous!

I have basically a knockoff of the Tiffany Shared Setting Band ring. It’s 7 prong set round brilliant diamonds, with .7 cts total.
It matches my round brilliant six-prong solitaire perfectly. Although like i said in a previous post I wish I spent a little more $ and invested in an eternity ring with bigger diamonds.

@ellabee: Thanks! I’m excited!! It’s funny how after asking for advice, I went for the least popular option but that was the one that looked the best against my e-ring 🙂

Here is my “something else” I wanted a sapphire and diamond wedding band and that is what I got. I love how it is traditional and unconventional at the same time.
