Here’s my dress, just put the deposit down to order it this weekend! So excited!!

I was trying on other dresses at the store and didn’t find anything that myself (and my mom) loved from the plus size rack. I had already gotten re-dressed and was on my way out the door when my mom saw this dress and asked me to try it on, she said it was what she pictured me wearing on my wedding day. I was reluctant because it was a size 12…yes 12 (I’m a size 20-22 in street clothes) but my consultant and the store manager both said it could be done (they were awesome…from Garber’s Bridal in London, ON Canada). After a few minutes of me pulling my boobs up and them pulling the dress down, it was on! It wasn’t even CLOSE to zipping up but who cares, I was in a size 12 wedding dress! lol I love it! I’m glad they made me try it on! I LOVE it!

Everyone who previously posted looks so lovely and beautiful!! Congratulations Ladies on finding your dress! ๐Ÿ™‚

I finally had my turn to “say yes to the dress” and made my mom cry (which is a very rare thing to do)!

Like a previous bee who posted on this board (@futuremrswirt2013), my dress is the Allure W311 and my hips are 18 (also planning on losing weight).

Here are pictures on the day I found the dress (please excuse the fact I was wearing the wrong bra and the dress they had in store was the wrong size for me).

I ordered mine from china with my exact measurements. I am happy with the dress for the price. I mean you can’t beat $150. I needed to spend my money elsewhere on the wedding( and honeymoon) and I am kind of a tom boy anyway so the dress just needed to fit. This was straight out of the package at the alteration place. I am having a couple of snaps put on the back and a boost in the bust and I might wear a spanx. Maybe. But really I have nothing on and it is fully lined and i am happy with it. i thought about doing a princess style or more bigger train but I just think for my shape it made me look bigger. I am 40 and this is not my first wedding,(but its my last) I am so in love with my honey! I am happy to be spending the rest of my life with the man of my dreams.

Here are mine! This dress was SO comfortable.  The built in bra and cut made it so I didn’t have to wear any body shapers so it cut down on the sweat factor…a major plus!
