Bees I am so nervous!!!
Today is day one of my practicum. I’m taking a education assistant and community support worker program and my practicum is at a private school. I plan to work in the community (I have a job already, needed the school) so I said I would take a school practicum for the new experience.
Now that I am sitting here one hour away from doing it, I am so so nervous and definitely second guessing myself!!What have I gotten myself into? I am going to be in a school two days a week unil April. Ahhhh!
Anyone have any positive practicum outcome stories? Obviously not about the work but did it turn out? Did you have a good time? Learn a lot? Is it way scary?
I am way out of my comfort zone here!!

@Miss Wellies: thanks 😀 first day went pretty good! Different for sure but very good.
Schools are very interesting to work in! I don’t know if it’s something I’d like to do for a living (I took this practicum over the community ones purely for the experience with no intention of actually working in a school) when I went in the morning, I started feeling like this was going to be my job and it was stressing me out and then I talked myself through it, decided to look at it like an experience not a sentence and then I felt better once I got in the groove!

I’m glad it went well! Even if it doesn’t become your career, it’s still a good learning experience. 🙂
