I have a Calphalon pan that I’ve had for a few years and it is great!  On the other hand, I have a warped Farberware pan thats in a box for the dump, AND all the Farberware utensils I have purchased in the past were sub par (leaking from the handles after being washed, etc.).

Hope that helps!

I would never waste my money on farberware. Plus farberware from 25 years ago isn’t made with the same quality as nowdays (what is?).

I think Calaphon is well worth the money if you are registering for their nicer pans (Unison, not the Calaphon basics made for Target or the like).

My parents also had Farberware from when they got married years ago, but the stuff they make now is not the same!  We have a few Farberware pots where the handles are separating from the pot.  Not good.

We registered for and received a set of Calphalon pots and pans, and they are really wonderful so far.

This is a great website for reviews when registering

I would recommend stainless steel over nonstick for health reasons as well as long term durability. Based on that this website recommends the All Clad.

Then register for a separate nonstick anodized pan for eggs and other things you may want it for. In this case the reccomend Calphalon

I almost died when I found out how much one of me Caphalon fry pans with a lid cost 10 years ago but it’s still my main go-to pan for everything.  I keep it shined up with Barkeepers Friend (I think that’s what it’s called) and it looks worn but in great shape. IMO it’s very worth the $$.

Hate farberware.  Wouldn’t waste a penny on it.  So, as a guest I would see you registered for it and buy something else off the registry.  Stick with what you registered for!  Farberware isn’t great quality.

I think Farberware’s quality has gone down over the years. So I would look at reviews of the cookware set you registered for to see what people say about it

so excited I read this!

I too was wondering if calphalon is worth it and I’m so excited to see it is!

…if I don’t get it, I’m gonna buy it separately!

Thanks bees!
