Hi we’re planning a budget friendly(7k under) in NJ, and trying to cut corners everywere. So far I am having problems in choosing a theme, we want outdosy, vintage, elegant, artistic theme. We have narrow down two venues, that can match our “inspiration” we saw a camp that rent a dining hall for $175( i think no booze permitted). and an art gallery $600 per day. Our must have are food(plenty) and venue(uniqueness) so if you were in my feet which theme (venue) will you pick?

@brokeninnj: Have you visited both in person to see what kind of vibe you get? That method is obvsiouly a more emotional method rather than financial though.

Even before I read that no booze was allowed in the camp venue I was going to say the museum. Definitely now I am saying museum.

Would guests be able to rent cabins at the camp? Could you sit around a fire at night roasting smores and dancing? If alcohol was permitted, that would be FABULOUS!

@brokeninnj: It’s pretty important to see pics… Do you have any to share? Right now I am leaning toward the museum, but I can’t be sure unless I san compare the two visually..

I LOVE camp weddings… but no alcohol would be a deal-breaker for me. (And I’d be bummed if I were one of your guests.)

@brokeninnj: Personally, I think the venue really sets the “theme” of the wedding. I say go with the art gallery!
