Aw I thought this was a happy camping story 🙁 . I think Camping is really fun you just have to give it a chance. Is it just you two going? Why doesn’t he want to go to Vegas?

I like it but if you don’t why doesn’t he do it for his bachelor party weekend or a weekend with the guys or something?

I’m sorry that you’re upset by the vacation decision!  I used to go camping a lot with my family (and I’m not and “outdoorsy” girl).  Camping is definitely what you make of it.

Tents aren’t even that bad!!! you put tons of blankets on the bottom and it turn super cozy, plus hearing all the nature sounds is really relaxing sounds cheesy but true!

Yeah, I personally don’t think of camping as a vacation.  I’m not a sleep outside person and my mom got a fungus in her toe from a shower at a camp site that never went away.

I’m sorry :[ I really LOVE to camp… I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad experience while camping. Give it a shot! Maybe you’ll end up liking it :]

the campfire food is worth the dirt and bugs for me!

sleeping outside in a tent is not bad at all. you can even bring a battery-powered blow-up mattress (if you don’t have to hike too far to your campsite).

Oh i’m sorry! I thought your post was about being excited about camping! I’m not a bug person and they love me, but I still love to go. If you can hook up with an avon person try skin so soft. my mom used to buy it and it is the best for non toxic bug repellant!

Also maybe think of some fun campfire recepies you could make and plan a little spa day for when you get back.

Do you have a kitchenaid or other stand mixer? if so you could make some home-made marshmellows before you go! We always make gourmet s’mores with home made marshmellows and chocolate from trader joes. oh and peanut butter.

Could you make a deal with him to use the vegas weekend with some girlfriends? that way he gets camping and you get your vacation and you only have to pay for your part!

I’m with you.  I DO NOT camp.  I’ve done it a few times and it is miserable and there is nothing in the world that will get me to do it again.  Since it is your vacation as a couple I don’t see how he can just make a decision by himself and declare that is what he wants to do.  That would not fly at our house.  My response to that sort of thing would be “ok then you can go camping by yourself.”  Seriously put your foot down and set a precedent for future decisions.  What if you just declared that the two of you are going to vegas regardless of how he felt about it?  It’s nor really a vacation when one person is miserable.

My FH LOVES camping and backpacking.  it’s one of his favorite hobbies and he does it often….with friends who are equally as enthusiastic. He respect that it is not something I enjoy and doesn’t force it on me.  I usually go spa-ing or do other girly things when he’s away.

My Fiance and I go camping all the time. We really love it. The only thing that I find crappy is when it rains. Bring high-deet bug spray and a blow up mattress and you’ll be fine. It’s actually really peaceful and you get to eat lots of smores! yum!
