I vote yes as well! I love the burlap/white/teal look. Maybe instead of having wildflowers for the country look, you can switch it out for all white flowers with nautical things (driftwood, rope, sanddollars, etc.).

You just have to pick and choose. Cowboy boots? Probably not. Burlap, lace, mason jars? Sure!

Raffia has always seemed beachy and rustic to me.

I am having a beach wedding & reception too. I plan on doing a rustic, shabby chic thing and it actually fits.

It’s your day, do what makes you happy!

We are having a beach wedding and we are definitely doing the lacy rustic shabby chic decor…it has a very vintage feel and I LOVE it! I can’t wait ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m doing a vintage-seaside-chic theme and a lot of it is very rustic! Burlap table runners, vintage blue bottles, etc. PM me if you want to chat about ideas! I’ve gathered so many inspiration pictures that its borderline not okay, lol. =)

oops! i just wrote a post that is very similar to yours lol

im glad im not the only one who was questioning this idea!

i love it! for mine – the ceremony will be at a gazebo on the grassy part of the beach front.. my wedding photos will be on the beach.. and the reception will be indoors.. do you think it will still work for me?

DOES ANYONE HAVE PICS?

@KatoPotatoo:  I am having a rustic beach wedding! Here are some of the elements that I am using:

1) Twine (around the bridal and bridesmaid bouquets)

2) Mason jars

3) Burlap

4) Wooden crates with sand/rocks inside of them and different size bud vases with wildflowers (centerpieces)

5) beach drift wood candles

6) White starfish

I have a pinterest board all about it. PM me if you would like the link.

Totally! I am having a rustic beach theme. im using lace, burlap, mason jars but it will also have a lot of sand, seashells and starfish. we are commercial fishermen in alaska so im throwing in a nautical theme. navy bridesmaid dresses with sunflowers and bright yellow shoes. sunflowers and forgetmenots are the main flowers but planning on throwing in a lot of wildflowers. extra tuff boots too! ๐Ÿ˜‰ the thing about rustic is it can clash a little. my reception is going to be at a restaurant that is on the beach.
