Is it possible? My dress hasn’t come in yet, but I know it’s going to be big on me because I’ve lost weight.
I always wanted a zipper back with the old-fashioned buttons up the back, but my dress only came in corset back.
The more I think about it, the more I wish it wasn’t corset back. So is it possible? Is it something that would cost me a ton of money if it is possible?

I was thinking of maybe doing the same exact thing with my corset back, since I am working on losing weight as well. I don’t see why it couldn’t be. Even if only the bottom of the corset touched, you could just make it into a low v-back I would think? I’m not sure though.

My consultant told me that they could definitely turn a zipper-back into a corset-back, so I assume it could probably work?
The only problem I could forsee would be if you’re trying to change it from corset TO zipper, when the back is corset-back, there’s not enough material to go all the way around you and touch in the back- you lace it up, so there’s a gap.
When you’re going FROM zipper TO corset, it’s not a big deal because they take *away* material and just add a modesty panel underneath the gap where it laces up.
I bet you could do it, but only if you’ve lost enough weight for the material to wrap all the way around you so that the seams in the back touch together.

I asked when I was looking at dresses and the consultant said if I wanted to make it a zipper to order the dress a size bigger. So since your dress will be big anyways it may be a possiblity.
