(Closed) Can a licensed officiant from OK legally marry TX residents in TX?

@lindseyl06:  Check with your local clerk of courts to see what the requirements are to have someone Officiate from out of state. Each state is different with requirements, some ask that the Officiant get registered in the state and have copies of their ordination paperwork, certification paperwork ect. before it can be legal. Research what they ask for before and then take the information and approach.

I agree – look into the specifics by calling the actual county clerk of where you’ll be married.  My officiant had to jump through hoops to be able to perform a DC wedding, despite the fact that he performs them almost daily in his home state as a city clerk.
