- Wedding: April 2013
Okay so here is the deal. Fiance and I have decided to completely change our wedding plans and have the wedding in our hometown. My parents are so elated to have the wedding ceremony at their home, however, I knew this was going to come with a consequence. I do not like my dad’s side of the family. I’m not going to get into that. However, my dad wants his cousin, a preacher from OK, to officiate the wedding. I did kind of leave him in charge of this decision (mother said lets just see what he comes up with). He’s been VERY helpful and I AM his only daughter but I DID NOT want a preacher (FI and I are not very religious) and even if I did, lets just say even in my wildest dreams I would have not chosen him. Maybe a way to get out of this is by saying that he cannot legally perform the ceremony since he is from another state?? Help me out here Bees, I’m trying to do my homework before I approach my dad with this because he has gotten a little too excited but I don’t want to shoot down every idea he has helped me with. Thanks in advance!
