I have seen some STUNNING mermaids dresses on ladies with curves. Seriously. I hope some people post photos!

Hmm, I think that if you have a indented waist you should totally consider a mermaid. It WILL emphasize your curves, but it will also emphasize the ones that curve in. 😉

So, it can make your shape more dramatic, but if that’s cool with you, go for it.

Ok. Honestly I think if you feel comfortable showing off the curves you should because I think it would look awesome on you. You do have a nice waist and it looks like sultry posture to match.  I’m not sure how much variation there is in mermaid shapes but the bottom part sometimes does hit at different places I believe. This could change the lines so I think you should get a couple and see them on. Your confident stance will make a difference, as it will with any article of clothing, but especially va-va-voom pieces.

Are there two of the same threads? I think I posted on the other one… But YES I feel like you can totally rock the mermaid style.

@chunkybunny: Have you actually tried any on yet? When I went into the dress stores I thought I wanted a certain style and then when I put it on it was blown all the Hades. Everything I thought I didn’t want in a dress my dress ended up having. LOL  Everything looks SOOO much different on you than on the rack. And wedding dresses are very flattering!

I would say go try some dresses on, it’s never too early. See what you really like and then go from there.

@chunkybunny: I would totally go by yourself! And not to mention some of the designers can take quite awhile to get a dress in unless you’re buying straight off the rack. Maybe take a day for yourself. You go and see what you like without any other opinions clouding your judgement.

It’s never too early!
