We’re planning our honeymoon for May 08. We’ve never been to Savannah and I’m having a hard time deciding where to stay. Not planning to rent a car and would prefer to walk just about everywhere. Hoping to avoid chain hotels for a more authentic Savannah experience but would still like privacy as this is our honeymoon.
We’ve narrowed it down to the following:
Olde Savannah Inn
Olde Harbour Inn
East Bay Inn
Inn at Ellis Square
Since we’d like to walk everywhere, we need a central location. I just wanted to get some opinions on which is best for a honeymoon. We’d also like to feel relatively safe walking at night. We had pretty much decided on the Kehoe House but it was suggested we stay somewhere closer to River Street, etc. I’m concerned about small rooms at the Marshall House and the noise. Any suggestions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Especially which is in the best location. Thanks!

Hello! My fiance and I are also going to Savannah in May! We had looked at the Olde Savannah Inn. It is supposed to be a really great place for a honeymoon. The only problem is that it is in the southern part of town. The Olde Harbour Inn, East Bay Inn, and Inn at Ellis Square are all close to river street. The Inn at Ellis Square is the cheapest, but The East Bay Inn had the nicer, more authentic rooms. Anyway, I hope that helped!

I suggest the Marshall House and Kehoe inn! East Bay is a nice central location as well…Please feel free to message me any questions you may have! I’m getting married in Savannah in June and have all the best locations scouted!

I am going to Savannah this weekend for Valentines day! The Marshall house is very pretty!
FH and I used to go here a lot while we were dating and we are excited to get out of town and get away from wedding planning for awhile! We’re staying at the Hyatt (not historic, but great location) and our favorite restaurant is the Olde Pink House. (I also enjoy the Sapphire Grill)
Anyway, have fun and good luck!
