roxeter :  look on eBay. You can also try pawn shops. Honestly I would either get the best secondhand or lab diamond you can get and have it set on a solitaire for now and possibly do an amazing custom setting later on. For 3,000 you can definitely get a 1ct lab diamond or a secondhand diamond. Also look slightly under 1 ct, like .92. Look at mm size vs ct size when shopping. My first was a .92 but faced up 1 ct. my upgrade is 1.21 faces up 1.25. Also, if you post your style and budget I’m sure a lot of bees (including myself!) would love to help hunt online
