Can anyone weigh in on these NYC venues or suggest other indoor/outdoor venues?

brooklynbride24 :  So like I said before, they have preferred vendors there. No vendors belong to the Foundry. You can find a list of preferred vendors on their site, something like “Vendors we love”.

those are all really expensive I looked at them myself lol. Keep in mind catering and rentals are a FORTUNE on top of the rental of the space fee. Check out green point loft, central park boathouse (believe it or not had great rates on off seasons and fridays came in way lower than other places) and Battery gardens- very reasonable, all included, food delcious (I went to a wedding there and looked into it for my own wedding)

wont let me edit my post- but I realized I also looked into prospect park and it was more reasonably priced than the others and very pretty- I would email them and ask about pricing. The picnic house there is also more affordable than the regular boathouse

The Bronx Zoo was my second choice. I loved it! The only issue with it was transportation. It’s a hike from the nearest subway or any bus. Plus late at night, the subways suck.  If no one is using the MTA and driving, it shouldn’t be an issue. Otherwise, you’re going to have to figure out transportation. We decided on a venue in Manhattan for convince. But the zoo was awesome.

We did the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx, specifically the Stone Mill and had a great experience. We paid 33K for catering + venue for 107 people, so it is within your budget. We had the ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors, and the reception indoors. The transportation is annoying, but it worked out since a number of our guests stayed in Westchester. The Stone Mill has a 120 guest max.

We also looked at the Bronx Zoo but it closed too early for us. And my dad was really against the zoo wedding idea.

Brooklyn Winery and The Foundry (both of which I loved!) both were more expensive than NYBG.

Prospect Park boathouse is having major issues with their caterer:  http://gothamist.com/2017/07/19/prospect_park_boathouse_caterer_missing.php

Maybe look into:

Liberty House
Maritime Parc

Both are in Jersey City

I found The Foundry’s site fee to be quite expensive, 14k on a Saturday night in 2019 during peak season. Doesn’t include any rentals, food, or bridal suites.

I would suggest City Winery. If you like the look of BK Winery, City Winery can accommodate more guests and is an all-inclusive rate for person. For 125, it’d be $265 pp. I would also add Houston Hall to your list!
