I’m having a Summer wedding. Ceremony at 4pm, cocktail hour outdoors at 4:30pm, reception from 5:30 pm until whenever. I wanted yellow as it is summery & my wedding is in the country, reception is in a barn. I thought that sunflowers & daisies would look great for the rustic country theme. I wanted to put my BMs in yellow dresses. I’m wearing ivory satin with silver embroidery on the bodice. My dress is not in theme but that is a whole other post. My FH is wearing a black suit. Best man might be wearing dark grey almost black with pinstripes. Is yellow ok for bridesmaids or should I just have yellow flowers & have them in silver or something?

Yes! I love yellow dresses.

Yep! I’d say they sure can wear yellow at night. I’ve never heard anything otherwise.

Ok great!! It’s unanimous so far:) So I guess they need to be kinda evening or cocktail-ish rather than sundresses right? I’m hoping to find them in stores. I don’t really want to deal with my BMs getting measured then waiting then having alterations done.

No, the bats will attack them.
J/k, yellow sounds awesome.

Yellow is great. You don’t have to change it.

Yellow would be gorgeous. And for the record, bridesmaids can wear whatever color the bride prefers, at any time of the day or night. As the bride, you get to pick, and there is no “wrong” color. Maybe choose a richer fabric or dressier cut than you would for a daytime wedding. But still, it’s summer, so I wouldn’t worry too much about it.
My SIL used sunflowers for her wedding, and her BMs wore two-tone dresses from David’s bridal – black satin with a yellow underskirt & sash. Here’s a pic, in case you want to consider an alternative. (Gray is also a pretty combination with yellow.)
