Random question here, can i bring my own products in to the make up artist that i choose?
I live in a really small town so my options in terms of who i hire, are very limited. Of the artists I have researched online and hair/makeup places i have looked at, I know for fact that i do not like the products that they work with.
I am very fair and cool toned, very acne prone, really oily skin…yuck, I cant risk using products on that day that are not going to be long wearing and full coverage.
So i am wondering if it is possible for me to hire somone just to apply my make up on that day using the products I have chosen. I know all I have to do is ask but i dont want to sound…stupid like lol has anyone else ever done this, or is this a really kind of out there request?

I doubt it I can’t find one who will use my Bare Minerals and my Luminess Air on me. I am just going to do it myself. I only use 100% cruelty free and most makeup artists don’t care about that, plus I have sensitve skin.

I’m not entirely sure, but I think it’s out there. The makeup artists have their own stuff, and think it is better than anything you could ever show them.

I think most makeup artists are wrong.

I did! I am very particular about my foundation, so I asked that my makeup artist use my foundation. I also picked out my own lipstick that she applied.

Depends. The problem I would expect most is that the makeup artist isn’t going to want to dip her brushes into your makeup pots because they might be contaminated. This could be solved by using new products that have not been opened. The second problem would be that makeup artists do tend to prefer using their own selected products. Third, if you are just going to put on your own makeup why not save the money and put on your own makeup yourself? Do a couple of trials and take pictures until you get the effect you want and then duplicate it on your wedding day.
