    Yes, I've done it! Here's a pic!

I’m doing 2 maids and they are picking their own dress in the same color. They have very different body types, and I want them to both be comfortable and feel beautiful!

I’m doing this as well, but have 5 maids.  If you’re going to go with different shades of the same color (like the photo you posted), I would recommend going shopping with each of them to help them find a dress.  That way, you know the hues and shades that have already been selected and can find a dress that will match well.

I did it with two!  They wore different styles and shades of green.  I thought it looked great.

I only had two girls and they were in different dresses.

I think it works BETTER with fewer bridesmaids!

For example, I’m having 6 bridesmaids and I’m letting them choose their own dress style, but all in the same length and color. The problem we’re running into is that 3 of them are getting strapless versions with some sort of rouching, so they are almost the same dress anyway! Oh well.

I’m sort of doing different styles.

My two BM’s are wearing the same dress, but my Maid/Matron of Honor is wearing one that looks very alike but is a little different. I onsly have tree girls total.

I can’t decide. I’m having 3 girls, all very different body types, but am torn about the different styles. It could be the type A control freak in me that needs everything to match. I really like njm1313 post. The dresses flatter each girl while still looking the same.

I have three BMs and wanted them in the same fabric and length, but with different necklines.  Two ended up choosing strapless, while one chose v-neck. I sort of wished they had chosen different necklines, but c’est la vie.  They look great anyhow.

Of course! There is no reason why you couldn’t. And I am sure it will look great.

Yes! I had three- I picked out one color and let them choose their own dresses. They each got what they were comfortable in, and they were so happy!
