Hey guys! I’m trying to figure out a day-of schedule. This is what I have so far, of just the wedding itself. We may need to go into the ceremony venue early in the AM to put up the decorations–there isn’t much really, just some picture frames on each table, starfish and the guest book box/cards/pens, so that shouldn’t take too long.
– Get up around 7-9 a.m., depending on whether we can decorate the day before or whether we have to decorate the day of the wedding.
– Hair and makeup appointments around 12 p.m., should be done by 2 p.m. I’m only getting makeup done as I have really short hair. (This gives us 2 1/2 hours to get dressed and get over to the ceremony venue about twenty minutes away. The reception venue is next door to the ceremony venue and is also hosting high school graduations the same day in a different part of the venue, which means parking will be a clusterf*ck).
– Pictures at 4:30 at the ceremony venue. Don’t need a ton, just some cute ones.
– Ceremony starts at 5:30
– I walk down aisle ~5:40?
– Reception starts next door at 6 p.m., with food coming out ~6:45 p.m.
What do you guys think? Am I leaving myself enough time for everything?

My only concern is the food coming out at 6:45…do you mean the actual dinner, or appetizers? I think that you should be having appetizers passed immediately at 6 when your guests arrive, and then 6:45 or 7 dinner should be served.
You may want more than just an hour allotted for pictures. People will start arriving for the ceremony up to half an hour early, so unless you want to be seen, you only have a clear 30 minutes to get al your photos in. We’re literally doing 3 hours of photos before our ceremony…

I have a similar timeline for pre wedding too…
8:15 hair and makeup for everyone
12:00-1:00 drive to venue
1:00 finish decorating venue
5:00 guests start to arrive
6:00 reception begins
6:00-6:45 photos with family/ guests cocktail ‘hour’ (guests can sign guestbook/ the candy bar will be opened/ snack food will be out)
6:45 dinner / toasts
7:15 cut the cake? (bar opens) people may still be eating but I was hoping to cut the cake while people were still seated and then right after that the bar will open and cake and liquor to get the party going.
7:45 first dance/ grandparents anniversary announcement while people are finishing dessert
8:00-9:00 music for the older guests
9:00-11:00 rave edm music
11:15 bride and groom exit
