Two and a half years ago I got out of a destructive relationship and found the love of my life. During the course of this relationship I received a “promise to think about thinking about it” ring. (I should have known then, right?) All this time I had kept this ring in my box of memories. Now that my engagement ring is on its way (YAY!!), I decided it was time to get rid of this memento. I took it to a jewelry shop in the local mall and exchanged it for a beautiful RHR. It felt so good to walk out of that shop without my baggage, and with something that symbolizes my journey and how far I have come! I’ve been nothing but smiles all day.
Do any of you have anything that reminds you to take care of and love yourself?

Thanks! You should go for it. It feels so good! I got it the ring at a small jeweler in my local mall. They had things people brought in to sell/exchange and I guess I just got lucky. When I saw it I knew it was perfect.

That is a beautiful RHR! Congrats!
May I ask how that type of transaction works, i.e. trading a ring you had for a new ring, if the original ring was not purchased at that same store (and even if it was.) Thanks.

@MarshmallowLatte: Drooling over your ring!!! And I love the meaning behind it! It’s a fresh start and letting go of old baggage! Good for you 🙂

Haha that is awesome!
This store buys, sells, and repairs rings so I just went in with my old ring, the jeweler inspected it, told me what he could give me for it (store credit wise), then they showed me some rings. This one actually ended up costing less than my credit so I have about $37 credit towards future repair or whatever. They were actually very nice!
Sorry, it is a Right Hand Ring.
Everyone else: Thank you for the support!
