acc092289:  I totally get it!!! Last summer my neighbor’s 22 year old daughter got engaged and our whole cul-du-sac made such a big deal about it. I was so jealous, it was awful. I was 28 and felt like I had put way more time with the company!! LOL. I even heard my SO at the time tell her “congratulations, you’re biting the bullet before me!” I was walking in the house when I heard him say that- I acted like I had to pee!! I couldn’t bear the thought of actually going over there to tell this girl congrats so I avoided it. I’ll be honest, I do feel bad about it now but at the same time, it’s how I felt then, and she had plenty of people happy for her so it didn’t make a difference.. It sounds bad, but you feel the way you feel, and you’ve done the being happy for others thing. It’s ok to feel the way you do. I may get flamed for that, but eh. ๐Ÿ™‚

acc092289:  Yep: he brought me to look at rings in June so he could get an idea on what I like, and we’re going away to Italy for 2 weeks in August. I really hope he proposes there although I’m not getting my hopes up cause that would be too good to be true. This whole proposal thing does not seem to be as important to many men as it is to many of us, and to be honest they are just going to do it when they feel ready to do it, no if-ands-or buts. We’ll see what happens!
