So the suits I want to wear at my wedding are actually 3 piece suits from Express, there the fitted modern look I like, and taylors have told me there great quality. One of my groomsmen doesnt fit into the largest size fest available (mainly his chest is the issue). I’m thinking I wear the 3 piece suit and my groomsmen all wear the same suit, just without a vest. I know I’m allowed to stand out a little, not sure if that seems too off.

Sounds fine to me. But I don’t really know what is ‘proper’ and just think that everyone should do what they like!

You (the groom) can do whatever you wish. I think it’d look great, and differentiate you from the guys.

I think that’d look great!

Definitely! My husband did exactly that. Mind you he wears a suit every day for work, so he wanted to feel a little different on our wedding day. He wore a 3 piece, the two groomsmen wore a two piece.

These aren’t exactly what you were after, but they are all examples of “mismatched” groom to groomsmen. I think that your idea is even more suitle than some of these and these don’t look weird at all.
1. Although they really should have ironed their pants.
This last one actually is a 3-piece groom to two piece groomsmen!
You’ll look dashing. Go for it!
