- Wedding: June 2015
Our wedding is going to be small, about 50 people mainly family. We rented out a small restaurant, which is carpeted. Our families aren’t really into dancing, so its not a big deal that there’s not a dance floor. We like to mingle, chat, enjoy good food, etc. And there won’t be a DJ, just an iPod over their sound system for background music. I wouldn’t mind skipping the first dance, but it’s really important to my fiance. Renting a dance floor (just for the first dance, I really don’t think anyone else would dance) seems like a lot of money. Would it be weird if we create an open space in the restaurant and just do the dance there without a dance floor of any kind? When in the evening would be an appropriate time to do this (before or after dinner)?
Has anyone done anything like this or been to a similar wedding like this, and how did it work out? I want our evening to have a nice flow to it.
