I’m still pondering on ideas for Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses –not an easy task — and came up with some options to share with the hive. I posted my dress (Enzoani Dakota will be in soon, so for now I snagged a pic of another bride), church, and reception venue here. My girl’s sizes ranges from 6 to 18. I really want them to look great, but still having trouble deciding on a dress. What are your thoughts on these? I’m definitely open to suggestions too. Sorry about the crappy pic…links below.

I voted for Liz Fields 2.
The ones I don’t see being universally flattering are the Vera Wang and Liz Fields 3. Liz Fields 1 is a maybe – those type of straps aren’t flattering on lots of body types, at least not mine.

I really like all of your Liz Fields options… i think that if its something your ok with cuz not every bride is… but maybe give them the option between those 3 in the same colour and length. i truely believe that something that looks good on a size 6 may not look good on a curvier girl… and maybe not only that but your girls probably want to be comfortable in what their wearing… an unhappy bridesmaid might make for sad or awkward faces in photos…. just my opinion, but you also have to be happy with what you decide…
PS… all beautiful choices

Im only having two bridesmaids, and they are wearing the same colour and fabric, but in different styles. These are the two i went for (please dont mind the other pics, this is my inspiration board, the pink dress is for my flower girls):

My vote goes for the floor length dresses. How about giving the option to your bridesmaids to pick any of the floor length dresses. I’m allowing my BMs to pick the style of their dresses but they have to be the same color, length, and material. My BMs range from different sizes and I thought the best option was for them to pick a style of dress that would flatter their figure and they would be comfortable to wear.

I voted Liz 2, but also like the Bill dress. IS there a favourite amoung your bridesmaids?

Sorry for the late response; I’m finally getting back to WB after the holiday hustle and bustle and recovering from a nasty cold.
I appreciate all of your input. I spoke to a retailer for Liz Fields and she warned me that LF #2 can be tricky for some busty women. I’ve also considered what AmeliaBedelia had to say about LF #1. The more and more that I look at LF #3 I find that I don’t like it as much as I thought. So it looks like Liz is out of the running.
Today I made a few stops to try on the other dresses. DB Vera Wang dress was pretty on the hanger but that was about it. The Bill Levkoff was pretty but I didn’t really care for the fabric.
I guess that means back to the drawing board. Thanks again for your votes and advice. I’m venturing out tomorrow to see if I can find two dresses that I ran across online today:
J Crew Arabelle
Alfred Angelo Purely #7151
If you have any suggestions please pass them my way.

@Qitty: I love that dress too. My Bridesmaid or Best Man tried it on while I was dress hunting and I thought it was so cute. But now that I’ve found my dress I don’t think it will be a good fit. Thanks for the suggestion. Make sure you share your recaps!

Of all of them i voted for the last one because I feel it most resembles the feel of yours, but I don’t think it’ll be flattering in the bigger sizes. I chose liz fields dresses for my girls and they all look great in them! I ordered them online and saved a bunch of money, got free shipping and even a free gift. The store was ellaparkbridal.com. These are the dresses. I customized the colors too (the ones shown) and they turned out great! I thought this was a really flattering style on everyone and is neutral enough to go with a lot of bridal styles. The 1st pic is my flower girl (she’s 12) and the last is my Maid/Matron of Honor. The other girls get the one in the middle.

What do you guys think of this dress (I haven’t settled on the color block scheme yet, but I plan to pick a color for the bottom half that will pop) paired with my dress
Inspired by this dress
Do you think this dress would pair well with my dress?
