Well, I’ve been cutting my calories down to 800 a day and doing an hour of cardio plus body resistance exercises every day too… So far, lost 7lbs in a week (though I do have food poisoning at the moment and I do not feel like eating anything whatsoever, which might be helping..)

Plus I have lost an inch from my hips too (when I lose weight, I lose it incredibly quickly). So yes, if you work at it, it is possible. And do what makes YOU feel comfortable.

To be honest, I don’t think there’s really a way to lose that much in a healthy way. Generally, healthy weight loss is no more than 1-2 pounds a week, so you would most likely lose 4-8 pounds. Sudden dieting/exercise regimes can leave you looking drawn and worn out on the big day if they’re too much, so be careful with how you go about it Smile

I think it depends totally on your starting weight.  Someone who is 200lb probably can drop 10lb quickly, versus someone who’s 130lb.

Try the 30 Day Shred though.  I lost 8lb in a month doing it in June. And it’s only 25 minutes a day, but even if you don’t lose the weight, you’ll tone up so much.

You’re putting yourself in starvation mode by cutting all those calories. Just stop eating carbs and you will be fine.

Yes, but you’ll likely gain the weight back after you stop dieting. If you want to do this just for your wedding day, though, yes, you can do it. I have done it by going low carb and being very strict. Not that it’s healthy, but in my case, desperate times…. Wink

Yes.  I think that you can lose 10 lbs in a month easily if you are dedicated to the task.  You’ll be hungry and your body will be exhausted from the 2 hours of exercise you’ll need to do each day, but you can do it!!!  I’m not saying it’s healthy, but it will do the trick if you just want to dro 10 lbs. for the wedding!

Sure you can.  I lost 16 lbs in a month.  It wasn’t very healthy, but I did it.

I’ve done it my way before, and successfully managed to keep myself at 110lbs even without exercise etc – ate like a pig in my first year of university, and was still very slim. Even after stopping my diet, I didn’t gain a huge amount of weight back (though I have a high metabolism).

Then once I was on depo, that really messed things up. So I’m working now to shift all of my depo weight. I know my metabolism will increase and remain the same even if I gradually increase my caloric intake (it’s simply how my body works). As long as you remember to keep exercising once you change your diet up, you should really be fine. And don’t go on any binges, that will not do you any good whatsoever – gradual caloric increase is best ideally, to see exactly what happens on a week by week basis, and that way, if there is any weight gain,  you can rectify it. Good luck!

@sweetheart03:  hey date twin! I’m trying to do the same thing.  I’m pretty ok with where I’m at but I would love to lose 8-10 more pounds before the wedding.

We can do it!

@Snow00774:  I cut down to Max of 800 calories a day.  I drank a minimum of 100 oz of water a day, and I worked out for a minimum of 2 hours a day, once in the morning, once at night, with a minimum of 1 hour of cardio.  And when I did weight lifting, I went for muscle exhaustion, because then it is like doing weights and cardio at once.
