hi ladies! I am wearing a lace dress similar to this
and my colors are turquoise and red and I just fell in love with these:
Believe me I would be the first one to point out that lace and patent leather should NOT go together but I just looove love these shoes! Would I be a serious fashion police offender if I paired them together?!

sorry… not the biggest fan of them together… separately on the other hand, both are stunning!

my dress doesn’t have embelishments though and the whole thing is going to be very fun and colorful….that being said I agree, I think I might just get the shoes anyway as a wedding treat 😉

do you have a picture of your actual dress? the little details may make a great difference!

No one at your wedding is going to gasp and talk about your shoes as a fashion faux pas. I mean little flashes of teal is all that anyone will really see as you walk… or your photos if you pull up your dress. I wouldn’t snicker and I am a fashion fanatic.
BUT if you really care about what someone else thinks and not just looking for affirmation, I would have to agree that together they are not a good match. The CLs look a little Herve Leger… not lace wedding dress.

they don’t work together IMO, but they are both awesome on their own

I just don’t feel the shiny patent look of the shoes works with the dress.

@EsqBailey: thanks! I think that’s what I needed to hear. I KNOW they don’t go well together but imma see if I can pull it off and if not, hello bachelorette shoes! 😛
Thanks for the advice everyone! 🙂

I love those shoes but not with that dress….patent leather can look, well, cheap in some circumstances…and I feel that up against a lace dress, it does.

I don’t think that these will look “cheap” so much as a little harsh against lace, which is soft and romantic.

too harsh. and I am a dear fan of CL’s.
gorgeous dress btw!

I don’t think they really go that well either, but do it anyways! :p You really want to, it’s your wedding day, and not too many people will see your shoes. And if you want a pic of the shoes you can get a pic of them on the ground with your bouquet or something.

Maybe I’m the odd bee out, but I say hell yes! Go for it!
