Ours was nontraditional, as my Fiance insisted that traditional wedding cakes look like shipping containers, lol.

And we had a small one that we used for cutting:

Our cakes were made by our venue, and cost $4 or $5 a serving, depending on which cake (we had different flavors).  The fruit was also apparently more expensive than traditional decorations.

Ours (excluding the small cutting cake) was supposed to serve about 110, but we had 103 guests and no leftovers.

Serving slices/size looked like this:

Here’s a crappy guest pic haha.

It was $600 (including delivery), was made to feed 130 ppl, and it was made by a local bakery

Our venue provided the cake, so I am actually not sure of the price! It fed 210 guests. It was red velvet with cannoli cream icing 🙂 YUM!

Made by: A local bakery close to where we were married in Sharpsville, IN.

Cost: We paid $135 overall, which included our two tier cake, a cheesecake, carrot cake cupcakes, and mini apple and pumpkin pies. The price also included the tree stump cake stand, delivery, and set up.

Fed: The bottom tier of our cake fed all 35 guests. We were unsure if we wanted to save the top tier for our first anniversary, so we planned for only the bottom tier to be eaten at the wedding. The cake was too delicious though, so DH and I wound up eating the top tier for a week or two after the wedding.

I am not sure how much ours was exactly but two of our layers were fake so that helped cut down on cost. We had about 300 guest and we served sheet cake to them because it was easy to cut and serve. We saved the top layer and served the other layer to the head table and reserved tables.  We had a family friend do it for us and if I can to give an estimate it was around $400-$450 including the sheet cake.

The toppers were seperate and cost a total of $300 (shipping incl. from the USA & UK). They are clay & made amazingly well! Great keepsake too for us 🙂

@KingsDaughter:  Your cake was beautiful! It was too bad it ended up all off center! If I were you I would post a picture of it in a review on their website. I would be so upset with the bakery!

Our cake will only be four tiers, will be ivory buttercream, and will have slightly different flowers. It should feed 275 and it’s costing us $770 (including tax and delivery). The groom’s cake is $225. It’s a lot more expensive than we planned, but we saved a ton of money elsewhere so we were okay to splurge a bit! This bakery is the best in our area.

@Sweetescape1976:  thank you! I’m hoping the photgrapher got a good picture of it because it was so pretty in person. The baker made the fondant shimmery so the whole cake sparkled. It was a really cool surprise.
