1.08 CT center stone. Pear, not RB, but still offers a lot of finger coverage on my 8.5 finger.

@mishana:  thank you, my fiancé actually designed it! I love cushions mainly because I couldn’t pick between princess and round cut… So cushion was the best of both worlds! One thing about cushions though is that they seem smaller than most other diamonds in the same carat size due to the way it’s cut.

@FutureMrsMcLaughin:  Thank you so much! Ours are similar. I have no idea who made it, as DH bought it from an antique/consignment jewelry store. I love split shank E-rings ๐Ÿ™‚

My fiance designed my ring since I am in medical school and he knew anything pointy or prongs would just rip my gloves all day.  It is just under a karat for the cushion cut center stone and the halo makes the total weight about 1.3 karats.  It is colorless and and almost flawless (I honestly don’t know the ratings, or a lot about picking diamonds, but he does so maybe I should have him answer haha).  He wanted to get an infinity band for my wedding band and liked when the jeweler showed him an engagement ring without diamonds around the band paired with an infinity band.  He put so much thought into my ring and it is absolutely perfect for me!! I have pretty large hands, and wear a size 7 ring.

@geekchick:  your ring is stunning! it looks alot like the setting that i have picked out, what cut is your stone?

i have to say – you have me worrying a little bit! your stone is beautiful and looks BIG on your hand (which is the same size as mine) and i was planning to get a 1 carat stone. :/ do you know the mm x mm of yours? possibly re thinking my ring now! the proportions of yours is perfect.
