@mzlouis2b: As the thread was created a couple of weeks before I got married I thought I’d wait to get a good picture from the day so here goes

Wow, I love this thread. I don’t have pictures of me in the dress I’m going to order yet because the store didn’t allow pictures, but I go in on the 3rd to do measurements and put the deposit down. Maybe they’ll let me take a picture then. If now, I’ll just have to wait until it comes in.

Mine is from Davids Bridal and was about $400. I am removing the bow that comes on it and adding that flower that I have pinned in these pics.

The pockets are nice! Also, ignore my seat belt tan line, please.

Mine also from DB:)) $499 but originally $650. It is discontinued now. I love it! My hair is more blonde now too. Just waiting to have it come in AGAIN!  (long story)  No bra or slip in so it’ll look wayyyy better when I do.

Here’s my beauty… I have a dress twin on here…. 🙂 I did the 1st round of alterations today.. the dress IS WAY more massive than I thought esp when she started pulling up each layer I was like SHEESH how much more it left. But after she pinned it I got a little bit emotional because it really looked perfect and she hemmed it and it totally changed the look, at 1st I liked the dress but now seeing the beginning stages of alterations I LOVE IT…,

@sooner365- Hey!!!! It was so much fun when you get the alterations done you going to be LIKE OMG…. LOL.. We didn’t even get to the bustle because the hemming has to be done on every single layer and it’s like 3 or 4 she has to hem it first and then go into the bustle. I tried to only get away with like doing 3 and she laughed and said Sorry Honey you will have at LEAST 7 AT THE TOP and that’s not including the bottom.. I was like WHAT?? The taking in and hemming cost about $280.00 so not to bad she said the bustle’s will probably run about 120(that was just guessing) but you know I will take tons of pics 🙂 when I go back in september.  She hemmed the bottom layers from the bottom of the dress and the top layer with the lace on it will be pulled up into gathers at the top. It make the dress fuller and so much more prettier. Oh and just a heads up be prepared to stand for a while and the dress it HOT.. it may have been hot in there but the dress is a bit toast because of all of the layers and stuff. But it was def a great experience.

But they are paying for my taking in part since they gave me a dress with holes in it haha! So maybe $100 less for me…

Ugh tell me about it I wanted to CRY but luckily my mom got the DB card so I just paid 150 and put the rest on the card but it hurt my pocket like hell. Yeah because the dress is so detailed and was SOOO much bigger on me 2 sizes too big I had to get alot taken in, but the lady at the cashier desk said thats CHEAP compared to what she’s seen before. So I guess I’m lucky.  Yeah you will probably luck up with that $100 or so less.. It’s crazy but your dress was cheaper than mine too so I’m sure it’s just the area it’s in!
