Can I see your 2.5ct round stone ring on a size 4-5 finger?

It really depends on personal preference. My ring finger is a size 3.75 and I have 2ct center round with .3 side stones. When sitting perfectly on my finger, you really only see diamond… definitely full coverage. If you already have the center stone, simply stick it on a piece of tape on your finger and see how it looks. You can print of side “stones” to try to get the look or go to a local jeweler for help.

@minibee30:  My ring is smaller so I can’t help, but I believe a 2.5 carat roundwill take over most of the room on a size 4 finger. It will look great, but I’m not sure a 3 stone setting is the best fit for that. Hopefully some other bees with similar ring sizes can show pictures, but if you go to diamdb.com you can see that a 2.5 carat round on a size 4 is quite large! If you have your heart set on a three stone, I think you may need a smaller center stone.

I’m a size 4.25 with a 2.3 ct diamond (which is 8.36 mm according to the GIA certificate) and I think it looks small and I want a 3 carat (more like 9mm dimension), so it’s all your personal taste

@bpositive:  She wants a 2.5 carat with sidestones, not just a solitare.  I Think it would be helpful to OP if you shared your ring!

@an0nb33:  yes, i saw, my point was that it’s about personal preference as far as the pp saying just a 2.5 center alone would take up all of a size 4 finger, and i disagree because my center diamond looks too small to me (I dont have a solitaire).

I agree with @kixit to try out a CZ or something just to get an idea of how it looks to your eye on your actual finger, it’s all about what you are comfortable wearing, who cares what anyone else thinks, if a 3 stone with large center is your dream ring, go for it and get what you want!

Hope this quick and dirty helps. I am a 4.5 and have a 2.1ct, I placed my 0.5ct each earrings next (and a bit lower to simulate how it would be on a ring) to it. If you do decide to go with 3 stones, my recommendation is to go with very small side stones. Also realize that smaller stones will look brighter/whiter.
