@ricli:  thank you! I am much happier with the lighter sapphire. I will save the dark one for a halo or something in the future. The color is just so pretty and it is hard to capture.

@Nat82:  I would go with a lab colored stone. So much cheaper then a lab diamond and you can get the size you may want. The color pops so much from the top and the pear’s sort of flow straight into the band. I would spend the money and get a killer platinum setting instead. I have the CAD in two sizes because I let someone copy the design. I love the engraving because you never see a scratch on the band. More people grab my hand with this one then the diamond rings.

My jeweler can source something for you. The prices for lab stones are quite reasonable. Just holler when you start looking! Join r/syntheticgemstones too. It is the sister site for r/moissanite!

@Nat82:  Yes, Gene does nice stones but there is too much competition on PS for them. My Reddit group has fixed vendors like (Jim) shinyprecious and Bryan from Stag & Fitch. The setting vendors working with us are Caysie from CVB and Sam from Debebians. They have both been setting a lot of Jon’s stones too. Vendors are just so backed up with orders but Sam has someone that can cut colored stones right away. He did the setting too. He does some amazing work with fine detailed setting’s much like David. He has a faster turn around though because of his in house trades.

Can wait to see what you do. Make sure you post the finished piece on Reddit too.

This is my lab diamond piece that I should get next week. I still need to make a thread for it.

@Nat82:  you might also consider someone in your country becuase of the tax issue. I am sure if you have an idea for a CAD, there is someone that can pull off anything that you have in mind. I will take a look at your thread to see the stone. Very exciting for you!
