i dont know about extensions but i was told by the MAC people that if you wear fake ones too often it can pull out your regular lashes.

here is a pic of me with fake ones on for my wedding day 🙂 Also MAC – long strip, but they cut them to fit your eye.

Fakies from my makeup trial, I think false ones will be fine as long as theyre applied individually, not in one long strip

Here is a pic of my first DIY makeup trial with fake lashes…I plan on doing more makeup looks with them; I used the full strip, but cut them into pieces then applied, it was easier. lol

It really depends on your lashes.  I could only wear clear mascara because my natural lashes are actually too long!  Black mascara is just too much on them!  Which sucks, because I like the look of it!!

But yea, a good (waterproof!!!) mascara is the “safest” option.  My mom used one of those fiber mascara things that are supposed to help lashes grow, and it made hers fall out!!  So don’t use that!!  Is there a Sephora near you where you can try the different options?  I have heard good things about Lancome, but never tried it.

@soon2bhis: yes, I’m not sure where abouts in Canada you are, but there are a few in alberta. Calgary & edmonton. I imagine toronto and montreal and vancouver have them as well..

I had eyelash extensions and I loved them! Everything about them! I didn’t have very much to start with.

Here’s a strange picture she took in the middle of my first set. Eventually she was able to make them thicker and longer, but so that you have an idea

@soon2bhis: They do. In Toronto for sure, not sure where the locations are beyond that.

@soon2bhis: if you want a good mascara check out Cliniques High Impact – i’m always trying different mascaras and i still think that is my favorite one

I had extensions done by my makeup artist — BEST decision I could have made. They looked great, stayed on for about 3 days (with some effort), and did not damage my natural lashes at all. Here’s the best close-up pic I could find:

And here’s a non-pro pic that shows my eyes closed:
