I wore eyelash extensions – but this was only for the wedding, not for everyday wear.

I’ve been using Latisse and I can definitely tell a difference in my lash length and thickness. I will take a picture of my lashes when I get home so that you can see!

@Running Elley: I’ve wondered about latisse. Do you really have to get it from your doctor?

I wore falsies and have never gotten that many compliments on my eyes in my life! Here are the shots of my trial (no pro pics yet). They were 3/4 of the long strips from MAC.

@Running Elley: I want latisse so bad! The only thing holding me back is the eye color thing.

Ohh, I can vouch for Latisse! I don’t have any photos, but I used it for 6 months last year- I started out with stubby little nothings & by the end my lashes practically touched my eyebrows & mascara became SO fun to apply! Just started another regime last month so they’ll be long again for my wedding (they go back to normal length if you stop using it).

I already have very thick and pretty long natural lashes (they’re always rubbing on my sunglasses! good thing I don’t wear glasses all the time). I use Covergirl’s Lash Blast. I’ve tried tons of different kinds and that one works best and has a great brush.

    Hi ladies.

To answer some questions about Latisse.  I work at an Ophthalmic assistant and get to deal with questions about Latisse quite often.  It’s only aviable from a doctor, the product is a form of Lumigan, which is used to treat Glaucoma patients. Not only does Lumigan lower eye pressure it also had a positive side effect, to encourage lash growth, it’s been repackaged and called Latisse.  It does not really darken ones eye color that much and in most cases not at all.  It takes a few days to get use to it but it does have a slight burn, not that much really and it goes away in a few seconds.  If you have any more questions or concerns I’d be happy to help.

Ok.  First off, I have naturally short and puny eyelashes so I’ve been looking for help for a long time.  LOL.

I had eyelash extensions done for my engagement photos and had a horrible reaction to the glue she used despite her claims that it did not contain anything bad (e.g., formaldehyde – I’m very allergic after years of wearing acrylic nails – the glue used in most nail and eyelash glues and some cosmetics including nail polish – it’s a preservative).  They looked beautiful until my eye lids swelled up and turned red and itchy.  It was horrible.

So, I wore fake eyelashes on my wedding day and the “day after” session the next morning.  By the time I got home, I was having a horrible reaction again due to the glue used to adhere them.  So I flew to the Cayman Islands for our honeymoon with itchy, red and swollen eyes.  Shame on me.

But YAY!!!  I’ve been using Latisse for the past year or so and LOVE it!  Huge difference in my lashes.  My daughter is always saying to me “Mommy, your eyelashes are so long!  Lucky!”  I have light blue eyes and have not experienced any discoloration nor any other adverse side effects.  It’s like a miracle drug for me! 🙂

    Good luck!

Okay, I don’t have any experience with extensions or false lashes, but I just got the BEST Mascara- I won it in a basket at a Chinese auction lol. It’s called Voluminous Million Lashes and I’m pretty much in love. It comes in a metallic gold tube and I’m pretty sure its by L’Oreal.

I have really short lashes and it makes them look SO good! I’ll take a before and after picture as soon as I get a chance. Definitely a good option for anyone afraid of the side effects with other options.
