@Rainstorm77:  You could have pallets and milk crates and it would still be an amazing living room!  That view!!!  We also have an amazing view from our living room and because of that it’s my favorite room in the house despite our ugly couch and chair.

Above: our living room, taken a few weeks after we moved.  We have a big bay window to the left of the picture, but I took it to show off our new furniture, so that’s the focus.  We still need a lot: curtains, side tables, lamps, etc.  I plan to deal with that after the wedding.

Below is our family room where we spend the majority of our time.  This was taken right after we unpacked, so the wine glasses were moved to our hutch and the pictures actually got hung:

@DZMeadowz: Great job!  I woould keep the chandelier but I would lower it and center it over the coffee tabe so no one is walking under it. Don’t swag the chandelier though. Instead get a large ceiling medallion that will simply disguise the fact that the chandelier is not hanging straight down from the junction box.

We brought our house in September and had so much fun burying furniture.

@julies1949:  Love that idea, thanks!!!  It’s funny, when we first looked at the house, the chandelier was one of the things I first noticed as “that needs to be removed immediately!”  It just looked waaaaaaay old fashioned the way the room was decorated before.  But now that I made it more modern, it actually fits well and is kind of “shabby chic” so it’s totally grown on me!

We live in a condo so our living room isn’t really fancy, buts its cozy, I do love our custom paint job though. Mind you the photo doesn’t do the paint colours any justice.

The lighting is horrible, but here it is. I couldn’t show my couch because hubby is sitting on it.
