Commenting to keep an eye on the thread. My mom and I have been searching high and low for a MOB dress that doesn’t make her look old and frumpy, but that appropriately fits a woman who has had 4 children and has the curves to prove it!

I dislike Davids Bridal for their wedding dresses and bridesmaid as although I have some good things come out of there ive also seen a lot of misses but I think their MOB range is spot on. Elegant, beautiful and something for everyone. My mum loves this in eggplant and I love it too

I adore this

EDIT: DB also has a lot of the dresses in plus sizes modelled on plus sized models as well

I’m wanting to see these responses too!

@pengoala:  I LOVE the color of your mom’s dress.  This is what we are looking for for my mother.

@RedWine13:  Thanks I love the color too! She actually found the dress at the Jessica McClintock outlet. ๐Ÿ™‚

@Thorns-n-Roses:  lol mums the same, wants something to compliment her curves. She also wants to cover her arms because she hates bingo wings. I keep telling her theres nothing wrong with them but she doesnt listen

Ugh, my mom hasn’t even started looking because she says she wants to lose more weight!  Time is a-ticking!  :-p

My mom got her dress on sale at Bloomingdale’s. She ordered it online.

@leecy87:  Exactly, my mom wants to cover her arms too for that reason, even though I don’t think anything is wrong with them either. Our main problem is finding something that she thinks looks good on her, that isn’t satin or shiny, that doesn’t have a jacket over it (she thinks it makes her look frumpy), that is scoop necked, and stops at her ankles (for that I suggest we just hem it). She also really weants it in either black or gray because she doesn’t want to stand out.

Honestly, I think she’d look beautiful in a paper bag, but I know how much she wants to look pretty, so I’m hoping to find her a dress that she feels as beautiful in as I know she is!

My mother said she is going to make her own version of this but in a steel gray color. I do not think the collar will be as theatrical as this photo but we shall see when she finishes the final product.
