Not engaged but have had a bit of a look at dresses while I’m in the city. I don’t have anything against poofy dresses but they’re not for me! Everything I have seen this week is like a big, thick, heavy merangue! Did anyone have something a little more casual and not poofy?

My dress does not have any poof unless I add it.

My dress has volume in the skirt, but isn’t poofy. It also doesn’t have a train, so it feels more casual and relaxed, but still elegant. It was exactly what I was going for.

My dress [Allure P840] isnt poofy, but has layers on the outside to give it some volume. I love the casual, playfulness the layers create. I could always add a crinoline if I wanted to add more volume underneath.

not poofy at all, I felt the same way. They are beautiful, but not for my body type. 🙂 Good Luck!

I didn’t like the ballgowns either…or the mermaid. I always knew I wanted a line..here’s mine!

Thanks….this gives me hope!!! I’m also having prive issues! Mr thinks it shouldn’t cost much but the cheapest I have seen is $1300 (for one I loved). This could easily make you go silly!

Here’s mine you can’t see the bottom but its not poofy at all! I really need to get a better picture of me in it!

I don’t think mine would be considered poofy but here it is.

Allure $2302 – about $800. This is at my first fitting so I’m pinned at the bust.
