Our nursery is also a guest room, so he has his clothes hanging in the closet, his dresser set up and a shelf with assorted baby things. We put a changing table top on of his dresser, which will work out well.

For the first few months, his crib will be in our room, as will the rocking chair. If Darling Husband isn’t getting enough sleep, his favorite bed is the guest bed anyway, so he’ll have a place to be comfortable and catch some Z’s.

I’ve already washed most of his clothes, but will wash them again a few weeks before he’s due. We just had our baby shower this weekend, so I’m going to go through everything we have and everything we need and see where we’re at.

7 weeks to go!

I had my little one 14 weeks ago.

We painted the nursery 12 weeks ago. We built the changing table downstairs 14 weeks ago. (And when I say we, I mean my husband)

The cot is still in the box.

There’s no rush to do things before baby is safely here.

I’m 27 weeks today & I feel like we’ve been doing pretty good. Our nursery is in our Master Bedroom bc it’s a giant room & we are working on buying a new home within the first year baby is born so I wanted to keep it as simple as possible. We have the crib put up (no mattress yet), the Ikea dresser together & sticky notes on the front for organization- I started filling it up already but still need to wash everything. We have shelves ready but have to put those up still… I need to finish my rocker- before I found out I was pregnant I refinished an old bentwood rocker so now I need to put it back together & upholster it. We have the mobile and swing put in, the pack & play is still in the box (along with the bouncer & changer), we have the stroller & carseat still in the box but all it needs is to pop the wheels on. Curtains are up, toy chest is ready & filling up, got my pump yesterday, plenty of bottles for Darling Husband (he works from home so we need a few for when I go back to work). We got the bar cart thing from ikea for feeding/diaper changes around the house, I just need to fill it up/organize it… I feel like we’re pretty close, just a few random small things now really…

I’m 24+3 and we haven’t done anything. Granted we just moved, and are in a rental while we build our new house, so I’m honestly not sure how much we will do. We haven’t bought any furniture yet!

DS is 2 weeks and it’s still not setup, DS sleeps in a halo bassinet in our room at night and naps in our stroller bassinet during the day. We painted, hung clothes and setup the change table around 40 weeks and will likely purchase/setup a crib around 2 months as I think he’ll be an early roller. Other than changing, we don’t spend much time in the room.

Okay so I’m not normal so heads up. Also, I’m 16 weeks.

We’re going to be renovating the room the nursery will be in as well as ripping out our entire kitchen and rebuilding it from scratch. We’re also laying new bathroom floors and painting a few rooms, sooooo we have a lot of work to get done before the gets here.

We’ll be picking up our new cabinets this weekend and moving all the furniture out of the room that’s becoming a nursery so we can make some repairs in that room. Once the nursery is cleaned out and repaired i’ll start painting. We already have the crib which was a Christmas gift and my dad is building a changing table that will fold up into the wall and fold down when we want to use it. I also have my theme picked which is going to be mint and peach with swans and anything that screams 1991 to me. So pretty much we’re starting to rip everything apart this weekend.

Here is a mock up of our theme:

These ar pictures of my 18 month olds nursery before she was born. I am now 24 weeks with a boy and they will be sharing a nursery. I plan on painting the walls repose gray from SW and purchasing a navy crib identical to hers and adding some navy for him. I feel like that is the easiest way instead of removing all of her pink things and making the entire room gender neutral

My Dear Daughter is almost 10 weeks and has barely been in her room! We went with a coral and mint colour scheme.

slomotion :  Due date twin- I LOVE your theme/inspiration photos.

We haven’t set anything up yet but have our furniture purchased. There’s still a guest bed in the room that we’ll be taking out within the next few weeks and starting to put together the big furniture pieces to see how I want to arrange them. It’s a pretty small room and I’m so bad at visualizing how things will sit a certain way so I just move furniture around til I find the right setup.

We’re staying team green, so keeping the nursery neutral, inspiration from the movie Up, with light blue walls (sky blue) with some white clouds painted on (probably one accent wall of clouds). The rug has bright colored balloons, and my Future Sister-In-Law made us a framed print that says “You are our greatest adventure” with the balloons and house from the movie. White dresser and crib, and a white/grey glider.

Love looking at these nursery pics!

I am 30 weeks today 🙂 I am terrified of the idea of something going wrong when our nursery is pretty much done, but I was excited to do a lot of things myself and didn’t want to be too large and uncomfortable.

To do: hang two more matching shelves on the other side of the window, get crib mattress, put crib skirt on once it arrives (just ordered one online on Boxing Day), add some type of organization system to closet and get a lamp (the one on the dresser is stolen from another room), and order of make a mobile.  I also want to get our daughter’s name above the crib once its decided after she’s born and we have a few things for the nursery on our registry.

I ordered the chair last month from wayfair but it’s creamier than I imagined it would be (I wanted white-white or even a light grey). So I am on until hunt for a white or grey chair cover.

I love seeing nursery pics! I’m 36 weeks currently and we only have a little spot in our bedroom at the moment for baby girl as she will move in with big brother at about five or six months old and will stay there until we get a bigger house sometime later this year. I’ll include her little spot and then pics of the room they will share, which we did for DS a couple years back. It is different now since I knew they would be sharing, we basically converted the “boy” theme we had for him of baseball and sports, to more of a “California” theme using the same colors of aqua, white, red and grey. He also got his big boy jeep bed and the crib he was using will go to baby girl.

Closer look at the cute dreamcatcher mobile we found on Etsy:

Shared room before we changed it to a California theme:

Don’t have pics of the new theme, but I just used some pics like these to replace baseball/sports stuff and we also hung a huge California flag on one of the walls too:
