My baker worked for our venue and did a great job. We had a $300 cake credit with our package and the baker worked to stay in that budget! It was awesome. Here’s our cake:

I’m so jealous right now of these prices! 🙂 Our cake (plus a quarter sheet cake snuck in there) cost about $650 in the end (8″/10″/12″) I believe – I could be wrong on the dimensions but it fed 160 guests, but, to top it off, our venue had a cake cutting fee of $1.50 a head (it was really brutal)! So $1000 roughly at the end of the day…

I don’t have a photo yet, but we are paying $500 for cake to serve 170. It’s a 12, 10, 8, and 6. 2 flavors (no extra cost for that), one flavor will have filling (that was $35 per filling), buttercream frosting. There will be an additional half a sheet cake in the back to get to the 170 servings, and we are NOT saving the top, but she will remake the top layer for you on your first anniversary. I’ve been really specific with her that I prefer the tall and narrow look vs lower and wide.

I found prices anywhere between $2.75 and $7/serving. Fondant and more carved/artistic cakes cost more. Grocery stores can also do some great cakes if you are on a tight budget!

Here’s my inspiration pic. We’ll have the pearl finish of the second cake, and purple hydrangea as the topper.

We paid $380 for our 4-tier cake.  The bottom tier was french vanilla with fresh strawberries and strawberry buttercream, the second was milk chocolate with raspberry filling and chocolate buttercream, and the top two were lemon with lemon buttercream.  We saved the top tier for our first anniversary, and the rest was demolished by our 82 guests.

Our cake was $325.  We weren’t sure that we wanted to spend that much for cake, but seeing the final results was worth it – and it was SO delicious.  We still have people telling us how good it tasted!

We did 4 different flavors of cupcakes and a top tier. We ordered 110 cupcakes. Our total for the cupcakes, top tier, delivery, and cupcake stand rental was around $300.

@Pokemon:  Wow you are getting all that for $350, thats awesome! Are the cookies favors? Are you just having the wedding cake as your cutting cake and serving the cupcakes to your guests? Or will you have both?

I’m sorry, don’t have pro pics yet.  Our cake was a 3 tier, square.  It had single dots on the bottom and top tiers and tri dots on the middle tier.  Total cost was $648.  The bottom tier was real cake, top two were fake and we had 2 sheet cakes in the back for serving and we had 3 different cake flavors and it was to die for delicious!!

ps.  if you’re getting all that for that price that is amazing!!!
