I bought my wedding band yesterday, and I LOOOOVEEE it. But the only problem is it doesn’t match my e-ring too well. My e-ring is a very thin channel set and my wedding band is prong set. The diamonds on the wedding band sparkle soooo much more then my e-ring. So I am thinking of getting my e-ring set into a prong setting, just so it matches my band better. Has anyone ever had their ring re-set? If so, was it expensive to do so?
But anyways, I am not sure if this is what I really want to do. I kind of like the not matching thing, and it is kind of hard to tell that they don’t match. Can I have some opinions on what you guys think? I am sorry I only have a small bad picture, I’ll have to get better ones later. But also can you post your matching and non matching sets? I would love to be reassured that there are non matching sets out there. lol.
Also I was thinking I am going to get a straight band to go on top, probably with prong setting too. I LOVE the set when I put the straight band on top in the jewelry store, so I was thinking if I do that, then I wouldn’t have to get my e ring re-set.

Well… you asked for matching and nonmatching… so here’s my matching. I’ll be honest, because of the setting of my e-ring I purposely got a matching ring made. However, some of the most beautiful sets I’ve seen are the non-matching sets. Here’s my matching set and maybe you’ll hate it and it will reaffirm your love of your set 🙂

Here are my rings. They were made to fit together with no gaps and they are the same metal but I dont really think they match. I wear just the wedding band sometimes when I’m doing dishes or something dirty but otherwise wear them together.

They actually don’t sit flush most of the time, but I think they still work.

i guess mine is sort of matching, i did not go the ‘traditional’ route as i have 2 wedding bands but i really did not want a gap so that what i went with and i really love it! (My engagement ring is pave diamonds and my wedding bands are actually chanel set with prongs i dont think theres anything wrong with mixmatching styles) PS yours is beautiful !
