The first pic is of my engagement and the second is with 2 wedding bands, one on each side. I had to find contoured bands to fit with the engagement ring… We had originally bought only one, but the symmetry was off so we bought a second last week 🙂

I had my band custom made to fit the way I wanted it to fit against my Engagement Ring. Its not bent or anything, I just wanted it to be a certain height and width. However, my right hand has started to feel lonely lately so I have been wearing my wedding band on my right hand. So, so much for all the thought that went into the custom band. My point being good for you for realizing this now! Now I have started to see that my band “takes away” from my Engagement Ring when they are on the same finger. Good luck! Now you have the freedom to get whatever you like!

@dynamic_duo: P.S. I feel like I am stalking you. Are we the only 2 awake?

Here are some not so traditional bands. I don’t know what kind of stones, gold etc. you looking for (or what your style is like) but…

I LOVE this one…

My plan is to keep it simple and elegant. Although I have looked at hundreds of rings online and dozens of rings in stores, I alway go back to picturing a 4 mm white gold milgrain band.

I was in the exact same situation and did exactly what you did.  Here are our rings….I get lots of compliments on the ‘sparkley’ pavee wedding band.

i always planned on wearing my rings on separate hands, so it was nice being able to get whatever i wanted as a wedding band and not have to worry about matching.

i do wear them together sometimes, for special occasions or when i want extra bling.  But most of the time i keep them separated.

my wedding band is a U-prong eternity band with Ring Bearer diamonds.

Here’s my engagement ring with my band and FI’s band. It’s curved so that it sits flush against my ring.

Here’s mine – it’s rose gold and green gold, and my mom and I have the same pattern ring, which is kinda nifty.
