(Closed) Can I spray paint tealight candle holders? Is this a fire hazard?

Its not a silly question!  I posted something similar, but it was about glass candleholders.  I would be nervous that the flame would eventually be too close to the spraypaint and light on fire.  you could always test one outdoors and see what happens.  you can also buy ones with clear cups on amazon

I dont think it would be safe to spray them, unless there is a flame retardent spray you can spray on top of the gold..

@MELIS5A: I would maybe call krylon.  I wanted to spray the glass votives that hold candles and thought it may be flammable, but they said it shouldn’t be after it dried.

Won’t you be putting the tea lights inside a tea light holder? What you have shown in the pic is the tealight themsleves.They are meant to be inside something else.

I would say don’t do it! I think it would be really dangerous! You don’t want your whole wedding reception setting on fire! Yell

You can always find frosted votives so you can only see the candle glow or I’ve even seen clear tealight cups aswell.

You can also get small votives that sit directly in the glass without any metal cup at all like these…
