This may be another one of my silly questions LOL but I was wondering… Im using tealight candles in a lot of my decor but what bothers me is that the fact that the holders are silver and my decor is gold..so I was wondering would I be able to spray paint the holders gold or will that be a fire hazard? Has anyone ever done this?

Its not a silly question! I posted something similar, but it was about glass candleholders. I would be nervous that the flame would eventually be too close to the spraypaint and light on fire. you could always test one outdoors and see what happens. you can also buy ones with clear cups on amazon

oh thank you I didnt realize they have ones with clear caps that would have been a great idea if I hadnt already purchased 600 on eBay for $54.99 (which I thought was an awesome deal and jumped on it like a psycho LOL)

I dont think it would be safe to spray them, unless there is a flame retardent spray you can spray on top of the gold..

I would maybe call krylon. I wanted to spray the glass votives that hold candles and thought it may be flammable, but they said it shouldn’t be after it dried.

Won’t you be putting the tea lights inside a tea light holder? What you have shown in the pic is the tealight themsleves. They are meant to be inside something else.

I would say don’t do it! I think it would be really dangerous! You don’t want your whole wedding reception setting on fire!
You can always find frosted votives so you can only see the candle glow or I’ve even seen clear tealight cups aswell.
You can also get small votives that sit directly in the glass without any metal cup at all like these…
