It shouldn’t be a problem. However, I would just check with post office to be sure.

Don’t quote me on this but I believe it causes an issue with the barcodes that get printed from mechanical sorting.  If you have your invites hand cancelled they’ll just place a barcode sticker on top.

And FYI – my post office let me hand cancel them myself so there was no additional charge for it.  And it only took a few minutes ๐Ÿ™‚  Good luck!!

I can remember being a kid and drawing all over the envelopes that held letters to my grandma! : ] I really don’t see why not. I would double check though, you’re post office might be picky!

If they are run through a machine than no you cannot use the design.  The computer is trained to read the bottom line of the address from left to right since usually the zip code would be the one on the bottom.  I went through the whole USPS website wondering if the font on my STDs were too small and came across this tidbit.  And fyi the font needs to be at least 10 point. ๐Ÿ™‚

Being a postal employee myself. If you love it, mail it. It’s job security for me, but like others have said it WILL get covered by a sticker with a barcode (at least the bottom swooshy line will)

If you can move the entire address higher up on the envelope so there is about 1/2 inch below the bottom of the decoration, you will be just fine. IT WILL GET THERE!

My job is to key the mail with things like this on the envelope to make sure it gets to where it’s going. I PROMISE, ALL invitations will get to where they are going as long as you have the correct addres and there is nothing bulging inside the envelope.
