officialeboni: omg, I saw your thread a few days ago and thought “gosh, that sounds so annoying”. I haven’t really had those comments yet, maybe because Darling Husband and I are only 25. BUT THEN at the weekend I saw one of my parents’ neighbours. She is a lovely lady who has known me since childhood. She said to me and Darling Husband, “oh look, it’s the married couple!” then looked at my stomach and asked “are you going to have a baby?” I’ve been feeling pretty unhappy with my weight recently so now I’m really self-conscious… We’d literally just eaten our family Easter lunch, which is what I said to her, but it was pretty embarrassing!! I know she was only trying to be nice but really, why would you ask that??

Audrey2: Oh noooo! Don’t worry about it sunshine. Some people can just speak before thinking sometimes. I am sure she didn’t mean it to that way…but I know it’s tough! Keep your head high!!!

officialeboni: I get this crap all the time. Darling Husband and I were together for 12 years before we got married. For YEARS it was “when are you getting married?”. The second the ink dried on the marriage license it became “when are you going to have a baby?”. My sister asks CONSTANTLY. Everyone else gets on us too. Honestly, I’m drying to have a baby but our work schedules are crazy and having a baby takes some planning for us due to prior commitments. I’ve been pretty polite so far, but one day I’m going to have a full on meltdown in public and everyone is going to be sorry they brought it up…haha.

Everyone has been asking me for 3 years, “when are you getting married??” And i know the day after its gonna be the baby questions non stop. We are not planning on having children so hopefully we can just say, “never!” And theyll drop it, but, probably not.
