Hello lovely bees,
My wedding dress is a champagne color tulle, it has several small ivory beads and a few silver rhinestones on it (see the picture below) ((also I’m wearing the dress without the pictured belt or straps)). My wedding colors are plum and gold and my shoes are a very light gold (like if gold were toned down with a mix of silver in it), my skin is very fair and I have golden blonde hair. I really want to wear a gold headpiece with rhinestones in it (see picture below).
Someone told me that a gold headpiece would not look good with the shade of my dress. I’m terrible with colors; do you think this headpiece would look pretty with my dress? (Please note that in person my dress has a bit more of a golden/yellow hue to it).
Thank you!!

(I’m not wearing a belt or straps, also the dress has a more yellow/golden hue in person)

Upclose of the beadwork, ignore the gold belt, I’m not wearing it.

The headpiece I’d like to wear, but my hair is blonde.

You can wear the gold headband with it. Its just an accent color for an accessory and isn’t overwhelming at all. Love the dress and the headband.

Lol my dress is dark champagne and my rings/set is gold, all of my accessories are gold! I actually put pictures of them together in my phone to see it all side by side and admire the colors. I think champagne with gold accents has a very lovely vintage quality. Your friend doesn’t know what she’s talking about.

It’ll look beautiful. And gorgeous dress, by the way. What is it?

sarahmazing89: People are weird. Champagne is pretty much light gold, or like you described your shoes — gold with a little bit of silver mixed in. So of course gold accessories will look fine. The dress and the hairpiece are both beautiful.

I think champagne and gold look nice together. You’ll be fine.

geneva2: Thank you so much! My dress was custom made by Jasmine’s Bridal shop in China. I was unable to find anything I wanted in stores and heard about Jasmine’s on here!

Gorgeous dress and headpiece! I did notice where it was from but I’m not sure if you’re allowed to mention it on threads. You should share your journey btw http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/replica-dresses-photos-discussion-part-iv/

I think the gold will look fabulous and really compliment the warmth of the champagne in your dress. Your dress is beautiful, by the way, and I love that style of headpiece. I’ve been trying to find a slightly more art deco looking headpiece in that general shape. No luck so far :'(
