If it’s a beautiful dress, you love it and he doesn’t mind then I don’t see that it would be a problem. Most girls probably wouldn’t choose it, but that’s no reason for you not to. You wouldn’t have to tell anyone who it once belonged to and most people on the groom’s side probably wouldn’t recognise it. Plus you save a lot of cash on a free dress.
Although if it were me I would probably sell it. It wouldn’t feel right wearing his ex’s dress. If it was all I could afford, I would at least have it altered to put my own spin on it.

Good lord, no, just no. Talk about a bad luck dress!

@NurseMandie: oh no I’m totally with you! Your description was just so vivid I wanted to let you know it wasn’t THAT bad. That would be a whole ‘nother level of creepy!

@BlondeMissMolly: LOL I wanted it to be vivid so I could show this poor bride how crazy this idea is. Haha glad to know my imagination was not needed and went overboard.

that seems really weird you would even consider…
if she ever saw pictures she would probably be very mad!
it is probably somehow bad luck
not only are you marrying her ex, but now you want to wear her dress too?
thats weird..do you other stuff she left behind too?

ummm that’s just weird. Why would you want to marry a man in his ex wife’s wedding dress?

@radar: +1! Nooooo.. just don’t feel right… I agree with the PPs, sell it off and go dress hunting with your bridesmaids/mum and find the dress of your dreams!
