Your dress is amazing – I love the fitted top through waste and then the layers. Very pretty.
In saying that, I hope you don’t take this the wrong way but I don’t think that particular cardigan goes with your dress!?!?!? If you wear a cardigan I think it should cover your arms and shoulder, something along the lines of the below….
Michelle Roth? Love it!!
And I love that cardigan a lot! (Who makes it??!) But in my honest opinion, I think it’s a little too overwhelming for your dress.
I think it would work better with a shorter cardigan…something that ends above your waist and doesn’t overwhelm the dress.
Its a little overwhelming for your wedding dress, but i would wear it to the rehersal before as its a gorgeous sweater!
I like that cardigan, but it doesn’t really go with your dress. I think Jackie-O’s suggestion is a great one. As detailed and lovely as your dress is, you need something shorter that doesn’t hide it.
oh i agree… but im not liking any of the short ones im finding… *sigh*… maybe i could have my mother alter this one to make it shorter?
im hoping not to even wear anything with my dress… but i know ill need an option in case it gets cold…
I agree with the PP…great dress, great sweater, but not great together. I think you need something shorter and daintier so you don’t overwhelm your dress.
Please don’t wear that cardigan with the dress.. it totally hides the beauty of the gown. If you defiinitely want cardigan look for something bolero length like the one jackie-o suggested.
What about a pashmina wrap instead of a sweater? Maybe you could find one in one of your wedding colors?
Do not wear that cardigan with the dress. They are not complimentary at all.
lol well i appreciate everyone’s opinion on this… it seems like i had a lapse in judgement!
Get a nice, simple wrap shawl for if you get cold, if you can’t find a cropped cardi or bolero that you like. It *is* a gorgeous cardigan, though, so def wear to the Rehearsal Dinner.
Oh my! The cardi really doesn’t go with your dress. Way too casual.
Another vote for ditching the cardigan. Your dress is gorgeous! The cardigan gives it a “sloppy” look. Cardigan would be cute with skinny jeans and a cute pair of flats – NOT your wedding day;) I think a light and airy wrap would go much better than any kind of shrug. You want something that goes with the soft, feminine look of the layers and ruffles on the dress.
