Can I wear this dress to a wedding?

If someone had worn that to my wedding I’d have been fine with it. The print on the skirt takes the focus to me rather than the white top. I would pair it with colorful accessories rather than white just to accentuate the color though.

Cute! I think it’s fine. There’s not that much white to begin with, and if you pair it with colorful accessories to accentuate the color like PP said, you’re good.

I definitely wouldn’t bat an eye at that. I think it’s cute and totally wedding appropriate.

I wouldn’t have cared if you wore that to my wedding, but I also live by the “if you have to ask, don’t wear it” rule.  You will certainly get some side eye from some guests, but it’s also not a bridal white type of dress.

caligirlinmichigan :  it lovely, very elegant and appropriate for a wedding. I don’t think it’s too white for a guest to wear.

Your husband has excellent taste and its awesome that he saw it and purchased it for you. 👍

I love it! I would go with a bold colored (maybe turquoise) statement necklace to break up the all white top and just in general go with “pops of color” accessories rather than what Nordstrom recommends

I wouldn’t mind, but there will be brides who do. When you are sitting down, it will appear that you are wearing a white dress as that is the only part that will be seen.

It is a gorgeous dress.Rather than suggest a cardigan, I would wear a crop blouse over top, pulling one of the colors from the skirt.

It’s not a white dress and is totally fine. Anyone who side eyes you is just looking for trouble.

caligirlinmichigan :  I’m usually one of the ones saying “no, of course you should not wear that!” but I think this one is fine, really no different than a white top with a floral skirt. Unless it’s going to be 80 degrees the whole time, I’d get a wrap or some kind of topper with some color. And I agree with everyone else: metal or color accessories. Nordstrom really missed the mark suggesting all that white stuff for a wedding guest outfit.
