I think that is fine. It is appropriate for a formal wedding so I say go for it. I personally have no problems with people wearing red to a wedding.

Is it bright red or more cranberry?  I personally wouldn’t care, as long as it’s not white.  However, I know some brides who would be turned off by a bright red.  I think if it’s a jewel tone red, and a shorter dress like that, you’re in the clear.  The cut of that dress is beautiful!

I don’t see why it would be a problem

@ejay15:  Red might be a little showy for a daytime wedding, imagine a short red cocktail dress in a church at 3 pm… it’s a little much.

I have heard this many times about not wearing red to a wedding. As a bride I wouldn’t really care, but as a guest I will never do it. A girl worn a bright red dress to my BF’s daytime wedding and she was definitely the talk amongst the guests, mostly the older female guests. They all thought it was unappropriate and saw it as trying to get attention on a day when all attention should be on the bride. Looking back at pictures, she does stand out a little more than the bride in the large group shots, but I think thats mainly b/c all the color theme was white & blue.

I like the dress and thinks its fine for a wedding.

In Greek orthodox churches red is the sign of the devil at a wedding, so a bad omen- at least that’s what my grandmother always has said! It’s a really cute dress though.

I wouldn’t bat an eye if someone showed up in red as long as the style was modest.
